How to update xperia u to ics use flashtool

We will use flashtool to update our device

1. Download and install Flashtool
2. Download and install the Driver USB (select all entries during installation)
3. Download the Firmware format tft screen (Xperia U_ICS 4.0.4_nu.ftf)
4. Copy the file downloaded and tft firmware in C:\Flashtool\firmwares
5. Back in C:\Flashtool and start Flashtool.exe or Flashtool64.exe based on our Windows version
6. As soon as the program starts, click on the upper left bolt
7. Select, Select a table in the Firmware, the entry that contains the Device column labelled Xperia U
8. Click on Ok
9. return to the main screen of the program where we expect a 30 seconds to prepare the Firmware from Flash
10. When asked, connect from off our Xperia U to the computer by pressing and holding the Volume less (steps necessary to start the device in Flash Mode)
11. Flashtool should recognize your device and starts the Flashing procedure
12. At the end of the procedure it will appear the words full and Flash, but at this point, we can remove the USB cable and start the device

The first boot will take much longer than usual, so don't worry if you wait even a few minutes. Note that this procedure will delete all applications and data.
