Less than 20% robot strategy are not running the up-to-the-minute version. Majority are on earlier versions like gingerbread and the hardware on the strategy are of old knowledge thus drastically plummeting the total of people/devices to facilitate can benefit from high spot quality applications the require powerful and up-to-the-minute knowledge hardwares.

Google needs to set-up this and nominate convinced to facilitate more fill with comprehend the up-to-the-minute Android version on their strategy and of avenue making convinced to facilitate vendors further on hardware specifications like Samsung, HTC and Motorola are responsibility.

LG has finally revealed that its over-sized smartphone, the LG Optimus Vu, will be coming to Europe and other markets this September.

Originally announced and launched in Korea, the LG Optimus Vu is a beast of a phone, offering a 5-inch 4:3 aspect ratio display, Nvidia Tegra 3 performance and an Ice Cream Sandwich OS.

TechRadar first played with the device back in February at MWC, where in our hands-ons: LG Optimus VU review we noted that while it is a direct rival to the Samsung Galaxy Note, it was unclear whether we would actually see the device come to the UK.

Points of Vu

TechRadar has contacted LG to see if it is UK bound, what we do know is that it will be coming to 'select' markets in Europe, Asia, Middle East/Africa and Latin America this September.

According to LG, the Optimus Vu has proved rather popular in Korea, with the device selling over 500,000 units – despite its form factor being rather unusual.

With IFA 2012 just around the corner it will be interesting to see if LG decided the Vu is worth a follow-up. It is likely we are going to see the Galaxy Note 2 at the European show, so there's definitely life in the phone/tablet hybrid space.

Samsung has put out a teaser video of its Galaxy Note 2, just over a week before it launches the device.

The video doesn't show the device in full, or name-check it, but we do see the S-Pen in action. The S-Pen is Samsung's name for the stylus you use for doodling and jotting things down, and is included on the original Note and the new Galaxy Note 10.1.

"When magical moments come alive, everything becomes an inspiration," says the video. Then the S-Pen is drawn out of the device, and we see it clicking and drawing on the Note 2's screen.

"All the things you can do in the blink of an eye, with such a small and light thing," Wenders says. "Anybody can do it."

Enigmatic, to say the least.
The video ends encouraging us to "Be creative, on August 29th, in Berlin." Samsung's Mobile Unpacked press conference is scheduled for August 29 - next Wednesday - so we're in no doubt we'll see the Galaxy Note 2 then.

Note confirmed

Samsung previously confirmed it'll announce the "next Galaxy Note" at the event. The device is widely tipped to be called the Galaxy Note 2.

No details have been confirmed, but we're expecting to see a bigger screen, faster processor, and better camera.

Samsung announced the original Note back at IFA at the same time last year, so all signs point to the sequel being outed next week.

We hope you didn't think that Motorola would fight a purely defensive patent war against Apple after Google's acquisition closed. Just days before a final ruling on its initial complaints, the RAZR maker has filed another dispute with the International Trade Commission that accuses Apple of violating patents through some iOS devices and Macs.

Exact details of the dispute are under wraps for now; Motorola, as you'd imagine, only contends that it has no choice after Apple's "unwillingness to work out a license." While Apple hasn't said anything about the subject, we already know how much it disagrees with Motorola's previous licensing strategy -- it's unlikely Apple will just roll over, no matter what's at stake.

Here's a bit of good news to soak in over the weekend. After the unveiling of the Xiaomi Phone 2 (aka Mi2) in front of some 3,000 people yesterday, a reliable source informed us that the Chinese startup is already looking to bring its highly affordable phones to Europe next year. Alas, we couldn't get a more specific time frame, but assuming Xiaomi wants to deliver its first quad core device to the Europeans as well, it'd likely be within the first half of next year, well before the next August 16th announcement (the company's managed to stick to the same date so far).

Of course, it all depends on whether Xiaomi can scale its business model for the unknown territories, and it'll certainly need some solid partners to do so -- much like its collaboration with local retail channels China Unicom, China Telecom and Vancl. Luckily, the MIUI developer will be doing a warm up first in Taiwan. As reported by Business Next last month, chairman Lei Jun made a high profile visit to several Taiwanese carriers in the hopes of breaking into their market by the end of this year. If successful, Lei should be able to meet his ambitious sales target of 6 million Xiaomi Phones accumulated -- still some way away from the 3.52 million units sold so far. Judging by the madness at the event this week (see gallery below), it should be no problem.

Earlier this month, we had reported that the Jelly Bean firmware for the Samsung Galaxy S III had also passed testing successfully. Samsung is waiting for Google’s approval to officially roll the update out. The situation seems to be similar to that of the Galaxy Note. Although testing for the firmware on the Note has been successful, there is still no word from Samsung about the Jelly Bean update.

Along with the S II, this would make Samsung the company with the highest number of phones that are receiving updates to Jelly Bean.

Later this year, Samsung has plans of introducing a 64GB variety of the Galaxy S III handset. In its statement, Samsung added, “The 64GB model of the Galaxy S III will be available during the second half of this year. The market availability and timing may vary and will be determined at the time of release."

The global sales of the Galaxy S III have hit the 10 million mark, as per a statement by Shin Jong-kyun, President of Telecoms and IT, Samsung. The news comes merely a couple of months after the official launch of  the highly anticipated smartphone. Successor to the company's popular Galaxy S II smartphone, the S III was expected to hit the 10 million mark in July, according to a report published in late June.
